Happy Friday! After a crazy week of being sick and having a million little things to do, I am so ready for the weekend.
First of all, this week the internet has been really amusing. Between all the posts about Justin Timberlake and Star Wars, I’ve had a few good chuckles. However, can we please take a moment to recognize what will truly be the most exciting day of this month?!
I recently watched the BBC miniseries version of Jane Austen’s Sense & Sensibility, and I’ve been able to talk about little else since then! You guys, it was SO GOOD. I wouldn’t say it’s better than the 1995 movie, but it was wonderful. I laughed, and I cried. I have to say, I can’t quite decide who is the better Edward – Hugh Grant or Dan Stevens?! I truly loved them both in the role.
This week I finally took my MacBook Pro to get a memory upgrade. When I bought it in 2012, I had just graduated with a degree in journalism and I didn’t think I needed a hotshot laptop with loads of memory. Fast forward 5 years, and here I am doing graphic design all day every day, and that thing was killing me! It’s so much faster now, though. It was worth the $100! If your computer has slowed down, try a memory upgrade before replacing it.
Speaking of graphic design, this week a little something changed with my Etsy shop. I renamed it! This has been on my mind for quite some time now, and when I was brainstorming and sketching out ideas a few weekends ago, it just hit me. Head on over to see the new name and new logo, and look for a post next week on here where I’ll share my heart behind the rebrand!
Going back to my computer story, while we waited for the upgrade to be done (about 30 mins), my husband suggested we check out the Family Christian Stores across the street from the computer store. Being exhausted as I was, I told him I wasn’t interested and would rather just sit and wait. But then I realized the time would pass more quickly if I went with him, so I did. And, well, within 5 minutes I had 12 books in my arms, and my husband’s eyes were rolling! What can I say? I hit the jackpot! They were having a going out of business sale (sad), and we got 16 books for $43 total! Crazy! I got a good mix of Christian Living, Biographies & Christian Fiction. I’m so excited to dig into them all.
I think that’s all for today! Looks like we’re in for a rainy weekend, so I hope to find some time to slow down and cozy up with a good book. What are your weekend plans? Leave a comment below!

This weekend I’m running the Indy Mini. It’s supposed to be wet and chilly. I’ll probably want to curl up with a coffee and a good book after it’s over tomorrow morning 🙂

That’s awesome! Wishing you luck! Have a great time. I think you will have definitely earned some curling up with a book time after that! 🙂
